Now that spring time is almost upon us, the weather has been wonderful. Since Abby also is no longer afraid of going in the grass, we have been spending some time in the yard playing and exploring. Yesterday we met some of the moms and kids from our local group at a park. I'm fairly certain Abby had a blast as she zonked out at 9pm and slept a good 14 hours.

And to top off our fun filled day at the park, we broke out the finger paints last night also to make a big glorious mess!

LOL - Lord knows I"m not creative but thanks Heather for nominating me. As a stipulation, I must list 6 things I am thankful for and nominate 6 friends as well! So here goes:
1. My wonderful husband who puts up with my all my little quirks and general lack of cleaning the house. He's my best friend and I don't know what I would do without him.
2. That I have a beautiful daughter who is changing every day and learning more things. Now if she would just walk but then I'll complain about her getting into even more stuff.
3. That I am able to stay home with Abby and watch her grow and that I don't have to go to work (who wants to get up for 8am??)
4. That I get along with my family and the in laws pretty well even if we do butt heads from time to time.
5. That Rick puts up with the vast amount of romance novels and other reading material strewn over the guest room, play room and bed room (guess I need to make a trip to trade some in soon)
6. Living down South and not having to put up with freezing cold weather for a large chunk of the year.

Abby and I went with four other moms to the Waco Zoo last week. I have to say I was very impressed with the zoo for such a small town. We were very close to all the animals and virtually had the zoo to ourselves. We will be going back for sure. We had wonderful weather and all the kids had a great time running around.

Trinity and Madison next to the cougars. The cougars were pacing up and down their enclosure as if saying look at those tasty little kids.
Happy Halloween everybody! So far we're having a good night. Abby has tolerated being dressed up in her butterfly costume and carted around for some trick or treats. The pumpkins are carved and waiting in the front yard. Molly isn't quite happy with the door bell ringing so much but we're having fun handing out candy. I figure this is the last year to hand out candy as next year Abby will be old enough to figure out what's going on and want to go out and about for fun things.
Here's the pics so far from tonight.

This past weekend, Grandma Wong came for a quick visit. Abby got to play with grandma for a couple hours while I cleaned a little house. Abby was also treated to her first haircut. I have to say she did a very good job and didn't complain about the whole thing. That could also be because she was in her favorite person's lap (dad) but who knows.

Doesn't this face just say "Are we done yet??"
